As a fashion lover, I'm constantly reviewing the latest trends and all of the cool newness on the market. Amina Muaddi has many “it shoes” on the market that scream cool. Dress with Annick wouldn’t be truly a fashion blog if it did not review Amina Muaddi latest shoe that was all over Paris Fashion Week this past March.

Recently, Amina was in the news due to the false allegations claiming she had an affair with ASAP Rocky. I did not believe these allegations when they came out. These rumours were had one goal in mind, tear down two incredible women of colour who are on the top of their fields. Amina and her shoe empire and Rihanna and her many empires. I applaud these women for handling these allegations with grace by bringing the focus back to their businesses.

A wave of platform heels is taking over the fashion market. These shoes sell out fast, whether it be Valentinos, Versaces or Aminas. I was lucky to get my hands on Amina Muaddi Yigit silk-satin platform pumps. Yiğit pronounced “Yee-it “is a Turkish name, that can be translated into a person of exceptional bravery and strength. This name is very fitting because it takes a lot of strength and bravery to rock these shoes.
Comfort

Amina Muaddi pointy Yigit pumps are a statement shoe designed to keep all eyes on you. They're made from lustrous pink satin and if your mantra is 'the higher, the better'; these heels are for you. The two-inches platforms balanced by six-inches heels make the shoe comfortable to walk in. Beware, you cannot make a wrong step in these because you can potentially break your ankle. I suggest a little practice in front of your mirror before you hit the streets unless you got the same confidence as Lady Gaga.

When it comes to sizing the Yigit fits small to size. They are narrow at the toe and slim at the ankle. They have Italian sizing. I am an Italian 39 and got them in my sizing and I can attest how tight they are. My recommendation would be to take a half size larger than your normal size.

In terms of the quality, I got what I expected from Amina Muaddi. Leather soles are the quintessential image of luxury shoes in addition to Padded insole and Leather lining.

Bear in mind you will need to care closely for these satin platforms. I would not recommend pairing these heels with sequins because they will get tangled with the satin.

These are statement shoes so I would pair them with a skirt or a dress. They are not shoes you hide. They need to be seen.
