Fashion is such an expressing art to me and I hope you like it too. Today I write about one of my favourite brands Bottega Veneta.
It was recently announced that Daniel Lee, Creative Director of Bottega Veneta will be leaving the house after only three years. This is very uncommon in the world of fashion and it is such a big surprise to the industry. Daniel has yet to speak on his next chapter but I am sure he will do well. In light of that, I thought I would review one of his designs, the Mini Jodie!
This bag got its name from immortalizing the moment when Jodie Foster was trying to hide from the paparazzi. She was carrying the intracciato bag and used it to cover her face from all the flashlights.
Daniel Lee used that moment as his inspiration to create this beautiful mini bag. This purse is incredibly stylish and easy to wear. You can wear it up or down since it looks sophisticated with most outfits, and would look great even wearing jeans and sneakers.
First released in January 2020, it came in the Bottega green. Since then, Bottega released many colours of the Mini-Jodie, including black, white, the coral, red and others …
The blue got to be my favourite colour. Gosh, I love this colour. You don’t often see purses coming in this colour.
It is made of lambskin and calfskin. The carry handle features a cute knot detail. A gold-tone zipper gives access to the main compartment. Approx. 11" length x 9" height, it is big enough to carry phone, keys and a small make up bag. Halley Bieber has one that she loves and she has been spotted wearing it a few times. Five months ago it retailed for $2,300 CAD but now it costs $500 more. I definitely recommend you get it now before Daniel leaves the house and a new Creative Director comes in to change the designs.
This bag is simple and it aligns with the street casual style that we are seeing in current fashion. It is functional since you can carry all the essentials in it.
With love,
Annick
